St Mary’s University is an inclusive academic community where everyone is welcomed, valued and respected. Since 1850 our mission has been to provide high quality academic and professional education, inspired by our Catholic ethos and values. That mission remains at the fore today, we are proud of the support and guidance we give to our students.

We believe that the university environment plays a vital role in encouraging our students to realise their true potential. We have ensured that our campus, based in the beautiful London borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, is accessible for all students, staff and visitors, and have a programme of ongoing investment that strives to ensure the campus is accessible for people of varying mobility.

Here at St Mary’s we have dedicated staff based in Student Services, who can support those who have requirements as a result of a disability, mental health condition, specific learning difficulty, medical condition or temporary disability. The Disability and Dyslexia Service offers extensive support across a range of matters that include - applications for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA), allocation of support workers, accommodation arrangements, additional services in the Learning Resources Centre, liaison with external support agencies, diagnostic assessments for dyslexia, and much more.

We encourage future students with a disability to disclose their particular requirements in advance so that their needs can be discussed and support measures put into place. Please contact our Disability and Dyslexia Service on +44 (0) 20 8240 4353 or via email at disability&dyslexia@stmarys.ac.uk or visit www.stmarys.ac.uk/disability-and-dyslexia.
