South Ayrshire Council is committed to providing inclusive and accessible services to people in South Ayrshire and has worked in partnership with DisabledGo and local businesses to produce an Ayr town centre access guide for disabled people.

The Ayr online access guide has been produced in partnership with DisabledGo and local businesses to provide residents and visitors with an easy to use guide to a range of accessible places and facilities within the town. The guide will be published online as part of a national website, with links to South Ayrshire's own website and those of relevant partners.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone, whatever their disability, can come to Ayr and be confident that there are facilities within the town that will make their visit an enjoyable one. I am positive that this guide will encourage more people to visit Ayr town centre.

I am sure that this guide will give many people the confidence to go out and enjoy the full range of experiences that Ayr has to offer including its rich architecture, cultural heritage, shops and eating places. It means that people will be able to make informed choices about where to visit and how to spend their time in the town.
