Luton is a vibrant, exciting and diverse town; and as a Council we are committed to improving accessibility for everyone who lives, works, studies and visits here.

This guide provides detailed access information so that people can judge for themselves whether a shop, restaurant or theatre is accessible for their own requirements.

Our town is a bustling and lively place with a strong cosmopolitan feel. Home to people speaking more than 100 different languages, Luton boasts its own international airport and great road and rail links to the rest of the UK. Yet it is also surprisingly green with lots of landscaped parks.

Whether it is a cafe that is wheelchair accessible, or a cinema which offers a hearing loop, it's vital for some people to have accessibility information to hand before they set off.

We know that people with disabilities often face isolation which is why we are hopeful that this guide will encourage other organisations to think about their own accessibility and make the necessary improvements so they too can be promoted within this guide.
