The historic market town of Doncaster at the southern edge of Yorkshire is renowned for its horse racing, rich railway heritage and its wealth of Georgian and Regency architecture on the Great North Road. It has a wealth of fantastic venues, businesses, attractions and points of interest.

We have an abundance of history in Doncaster, including Conisbrough Castle, Doncaster Minster and Cusworth Hall Museum and Park. We also boast ‘the biggest and best’ traditional market in the North with the Doncaster Market and Corn Exchange, and the town’s flagship theatre, CAST, which is home to world-class entertainment, arts and culture.

We are famed for the UK’s number one walk-through wildlife park adventure, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and the first split-level ice rink in the country, at Doncaster Dome Leisure Centre.

These attractions, along with hundreds of other venues, organisations and businesses, feature in our DisabledGo Accessibility Guide. We are pleased to have worked with DisabledGo to create these to enable Doncaster residents and visitors to Doncaster to make informed choices about their visits and trips, based on their accessibility to a range of individuals.

We hope you find this guide useful and wish you a very enjoyable visit.
