Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital services at St. Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey and Ashford Hospital in Middlesex, to a large and diverse population, with a catchment area of around 450,000 stretching from West Hounslow to Woking across the Boroughs of Hounslow, Spelthorne, Elmbridge, Runnymede and Woking.

Although West Surrey is a relatively affluent part of the country there are, nonetheless, pockets of deprivation with higher health and social needs within the Trust’s catchment area. The catchment population also has a higher proportion of older people with increased health needs, longer average stays in hospital, and a greater need for social and community care.

We welcome disabled employees and visitors and are committed to continually improving access to employment, facilities and buildings. We aim to ensure that all visitors, stakeholders and potential stakeholders of our community can access clear information on the accessibility of our physical estate.

Disabled parking facilities:

All our disabled spaces are located close to the main hospital entrances and signs clearly direct the way for people with a disability. There is access on both sites for wheelchair users.

At St Peter’s there are automatic opening doors on Levels 1 and 2 of the Outpatient Department, at the entrance to the Duchess of Kent Wing and the entrance to Abbey Wing. Blue badge holders may use the main outpatients car park free of charge. To obtain free exit (as this is a barriered car park) please bring your badge or a photocopy of it to the main reception desk (not just the number) in outpatients. All other disabled spaces on site are free and are not within a barriered area. There are 97 disabled spaces out of a total of 466 patient/visitor spaces overall. Our disabled bays measure 3.60 m wide by 6.0 m long.
