The Borough of Antrim and Newtownabbey has an estimated population of 138,000 people, 3,730 businesses and 212,000 annual visitors. It covers 274 square miles from the shores of Lough Neagh in the west to the shores of Belfast Lough in the east. Five million people arrive every year through Northern Ireland’s busiest gateway, Belfast International Airport.

The mission of the Council is to meet and exceed the needs and aspirations of our people and to be recognised for leadership and excellence both locally and beyond.

We have a fantastic range of local attractions and amenities which we want everyone to be able to enjoy and are determined to continue to put the customer at the centre of all that we do.

Disabled people have told us of the value of reliable access information about places they visit in their everyday lives. We are delighted to support the DisabledGo – Antrim and Newtownabbey online guide which should greatly assist people in making informed choices about where to visit.

Access guides for venues in Antrim will be arriving later this year.
