Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust becomes the latest of over 90 NHS Trusts to partner with AccessAble; the UK’s leading provider of detailed disabled access information.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has worked with AccessAble to create Detailed Access Guides to facilities, wards, and departments at Leeds General Infirmary, St James's University Hospital, Seacroft Hospital, Wharfedale Hospital, and Chapel Allerton Hospital.

Following a successful pilot at Chapel Allerton Hospital, the use of AccessAble across hospital sites has been made possible thanks to over £75,000 of funding from Leeds Hospitals Charity.

The Guides are 100 percent facts, figures and photographs to help patients, visitors and staff plan their journeys to and around the hospital sites, covering everything from parking facilities and hearing loops, to walking distances and accessible toilets.

The Guides are live from today and will be formally launched at a dedicated virtual event on Wednesday 5^th April.

We know everyone’s accessibility needs are different, which is why having detailed, accurate information is so important. It’s why all of the details you’ll find in the Guide have been checked in person, on site, by trained surveyors.
