Anne Hathaway's Cottage

• Due of the nature and age of the building there is limited access for wheelchair users.
• There are 3 deep steps with a handrail to the right in front of the entrance to the house (photograph 2).
• The doorway in photograph 4 opens away from you, is 87cm wide and is held open during opening hours. There is a deep step at this doorway (photograph 5).
• Photograph 6 shows a set of deep steps with a handrail to the left that lead to the upper floor.
• The upper floor has wooden flooring with several steps and a floor beam to walk over which are not clearly marked and may be difficult to see.
• Photograph 10 shows the stairs leading back downstairs towards the lower level. There are handrails on both sides and deep steps.
• To exit the building visitors can walk outside along a path and then back into the cottage to the final room before exiting again out of the front of the cottage down 6 stone steps (photographs 14 and 15).
• The steps in the cottage are between 11-17cm high.
• There is an iPad available which can show visitors a tour of the venue if access is an issue.
