  • At the time of the survey (February 2018) the construction of the new station building was not fully complete. .
  • The new lifts to access the station from Felixstowe Road to the north were expected to be complete by May 2018.
  • Platforms 3 and 4 serving the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail services) are expected to be in use by December 2018.

  • There is a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue.
  • The nearest underground station is North Greenwich.
  • The nearest DLR station is Woolwich Arsenal.

  • Comments View
    • The Gayton Road pay and display car park tends to be very busy on weekdays, but we noted that there were Blue Badge Bays available.
    • When construction work is complete, it is likely to be possible to drop off on Wilton Road close to the lifts to the station entrance.

Outside Access (Station Entrance)

  • This information is for the entrance located on Harrow Manorway.
  • There is level access into the venue.
  • The main door(s) open(s) automatically.

Other Floors (Approach to the Station Entrance)

  • Steps View
    • The floors which are accessible by stairs are Wilton Road to station forecourt.
    • There are 15+ steps between floors.
    • The steps are not clearly marked.
    • The steps are medium (11cm - 17cm).
    • The steps do have handrails.
    • The steps have a handrail on both sides.
    • There is a landing.

    • There are similar stairs on the north side of the station, connecting Felixstowe Road with the station forecourt (shown in photographs 3 and 4).
    • On the day of the survey there was work going on to complete and clean the stairs .

Lift (Wilton Road to Station Entrance)

  • There is a lift for public use.
  • The lift is located to the right of the stairs, connecting Wilton Road with the station forecourt.
  • The lift is a standard lift.
  • The floors which are accessible by this lift are Wilton Road to the station entrance on Harrow Manorway.
  • The lift is approximately 15m (16yd 1ft) from the station entrance.
  • Staff do not need to be notified for use of the lift.
  • The clear door width is 120cm (3ft 11in).
  • The dimensions of the lift are 160cm x 160cm (5ft 3in x 5ft 3in).
  • There are separate entry and exit doors in the lift.
  • There is not a mirror to aid reversing out of the lift.
  • The lift does have a visual floor indicator.
  • The lift does have an audible announcer.
  • The controls for the lift are within 90cm - 120cm from the floor.

    • At the time of our visit there was a temporary easy ramp to enter the lift at the Wilton Road entrance.
    • The similar lifts to connect the station entrance with Felixstowe Road were not yet in use. A temporary step-free walking route was signposted from Felixstowe Road, crossing Harrow Manorway at the pedestrian crossing outside Sainsbury's and then crossing back to the station forecourt at a temporary pedestrian crossing at the Harrow Manorway bus stops.

Reception (Ticket Office)

  • There is level access to the desk/counter from the entrance.
  • The desk/counter is medium height (77cm - 109cm).

    • The counters have a fixed 75cm high writing shelf in front of the main counter and there is a sliding drawer for tickets and money to be passed through.

    • Contactless and Oyster card ticketing is accepted at this station for journeys towards London and also eastbound as far as Dartford.
