Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The Headingley Campus is located just north of Headingley and just off the A660. From Leeds City Centre or the A64M/A58M you will need to head north on the A660 (Woodhouse Lane) towards Headingley. You will pass through Headingley and continue on A660 towards Weetwood. You will then need to turn off onto Churchwood Avenue on your left to reach the campus. For your sat nav please use LS6 3QS.
    • There is a visitor's car park available with several Blue Badge parking bays and many standard parking bays. The staff at the main gate will direct you to the best parking bay for your needs. There is numerous Blue Badge parking bays available throughout the campus which are free of charge provided you have a valid Blue Badge. There are also plenty of permit parking bays throughout the site for students and staff with a valid permit.
  • By Bus View
    • There is a University Bus (29 and 29x) which serves the University directly. There are regular services during the day from Leeds City Centre to the Campus and to Woodhouse directly. The service is run by FirstBus Leeds. You can also access other buses in Otley Road which is around 10 minutes walk away from the campus.
  • By Train View
    • Headingley Railway Station is the nearest station to the campus and is on the Leeds to York line. Served by Northern Railways. Leeds Station would be another nearby station to the campus with good links to the campus. Leeds is served by Northern Railways, Virgin East Coast Mainline Railway, Transpennine Express Railway, CrossCountry Railway and East Midlands Railway.

Building Parking

  • The building does have its own dedicated parking.
  • Building Car Park View
    • The car park can be used by permit holders and Blue Badge holders.
    • There are no parking charges that apply on the day.
    • The car park is located in front of the changing rooms.
    • The car park type is open air/surface.
    • The car park does not have a height restriction barrier.
    • Designated Blue Badge parking bays are available.
    • There is/are 4 designated parking bay(s) within the car park.
    • The Blue Badge bay(s) is/are clearly marked and signposted.
    • The dimensions of the designated parking bay(s) are 320cm x 470cm (10ft 6in x 15ft 5in).
    • The dimensions of the designated bays do not vary in size.
    • Parking spaces for Blue Badge holders do not need to be booked in advance.
    • The nearest designated bay is 100m (109yd 1ft) from the Garden Gate.

Paths and Gardens

  • There are paths throughout the garden of varying width. Some are overgrown and have widths of less then 75cm.
  • There is step free access to all areas within the gardens.
  • The paths have slopes ranging from easy to steep.
  • Some paths are paved towards the entrance to the gardens.
  • However, outside the entrance area the pathways are usually dirt tracks.
  • There are benches in the garden, though these are few in number.
  • There are two buildings in the gardens one contains the teaching room HC LLG01 (which can be seen in photograph 8) and the other shows the toilet and shower facilities building which can be seen in photograph 9.

Bench Area

  • There is a small area with a bench to your front left on entrance. This can be accessed either via steep slopes shown in photographs 2 & 3 or by one of two sets of 5 unmarked medium steps with no handrails that can be seen in photographs 4 & 5.

Greenhouses

  • There are three greenhouses.
  • The first greenhouse is nearest the entrance and is accessed via medium step (as can be seen in photograph 6).
  • The second greenhouse is accessed via a steep ramp and medium step (as can be seen in photograph 7).
  • The third greenhouse is accessed via a steep ramp (as can be seen in photograph 8).
  • All have door widths of over 75cm.

Accessible Toilet

  • There are not accessible toilet facilities within this venue.
