Introduction

  • Comments View
    • Woody's bar and restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Park Wood Student Hub.
    • It is operated by the Kent Student Union.
    • Food and drink from Woody's may be taken upstairs into the social space and its roof terrace.
    • There is level access to these areas by the lift in the foyer of the Hub.
    • The lift also gives access to the additional accessible toilets and standard toilets.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • The building is in the Park Wood accommodation area, north west of the central campus.
      This is about 1.5 miles north of Canterbury City Centre.
      Road access is using the un named road off Park Wood Road.
      Because of the one-way system, the turning opposite the sports centre is the most convenient route.
      The building can also be reached using the footpath and cycle route from the central campus.
    • The nearest car park is the Park Wood Courts car park, in front of the Park Wood Administration building.
      This is the turning just to the right before the Hub on the one way system.
      Blue Badge holders and University Pink/ Blue permit holders may use this car park.
  • By Bus View
    • There are frequent Unibus services linking the University campus with the centre of Canterbury and Canterbury East and West train stations.
      The nearest bus stop is on the Park Wood access road.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest train station is Canterbury West, to the north of the city centre.
      This is on the line from London to Kent, including Ashford International.
      There is step-free access into the station building.
      There is step-free access to both platforms by lift.
      Staff are available to assist with portable ramps between the platform and the train.
      There are buses linking the city centre with the University campus, with stops about 5 minutes away from the station.
