Lambeth council is delighted to be working with DisabledGo to bring this disability access guide to the Borough.
Our disabled residents have consistently told us they want more support to live independently in the community and we are committed to making this a reality.
That’s why we have worked with DisabledGo to produce an easy-to-use and searchable guide that sets out access information on key public facilities in the borough. From our schools, leisure centres, parks and libraries, to pharmacies and health centres, the guide provides information on almost 300 venues right across Lambeth.
The guide gives our disabled residents, their carers and visitors the ability to check which venues have suitable facilities – giving them more choices about what they want to do and where they want to go.
We hope that this is just a start and that even more venues will have surveys done, including shops, businesses and our voluntary and community sector service providers.
