In the last few years West Nottinghamshire College has been in a transitional era that has been witness to progress, growth and continual change, benefiting the College, its learners and the community in which we exist. Our £9 million Construction and Logistics Skills Academy opened its doors earlier this year, our pass rates remain in the top 10% of all colleges nationally and construction work on a brand new £90 million College building is about to begin.
In May of 2008, the College was inspected by OFSTED and assessed on its effectiveness, results, management, provision and equality of opportunity. The outcome of the inspection was no less than spectacular, with the inspectors awarding the College ‘Grade 1:Oustanding’ in all six categories, an unprecedented result that confirms our position as one of the leading colleges in the country.
Our sole objective – to be an outstanding college – has been our driving force over the past few years. We believe we are a catalyst for encouraging our learners, our staff and the community around us to be aspirational and change their prospects through personal development. We strive for excellence in all that we do and are committed to providing access and facilities to learners from all sections of society.
