West Lothian College is one of the most prominent further education institutions in the East of Scotland. We are constantly looking to expand minds and promote the Equality and Diversity agenda, re-enforcing the message that our college is a College for All.
Championing a pioneering approach to promoting diversity amongst its staff and students, West Lothian College has been recognised on a national level for its efforts to create a welcoming and embracing environment for both work and study, having been the first College in Scotland to achieve the prestigious Investors in Diversity Stage One Award.
The College is well-known for its diversity activities. Events often take an international focus, whilst guest speakers are regularly invited to discuss the importance of the diversity across all areas of life – tackling issues such as racism and bigotry as well as promoting awareness, acceptance and understanding of disability.
We are very fortunate that we have excellent facilities for all students at our college in Livingston and we have chosen to promote the good accessibility of the college by using the DisabledGo service, as further proof of our commitment towards embracing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
