Welcome

West Dunbartonshire Council’s Educational Services are pleased to be working in conjunction with ‘DisabledGo’ to provide accurate information about the facilities available at all schools for disabled members of our school community.

West Dunbartonshire Council currently has 34 primary schools, 5 secondary schools and 3 special schools. We have an inclusive approach to education and endeavour to develop all children and young people as successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens.

As a small education authority we are proud of our achievements, and of the many examples of good practice which have received national recognition. However, we do not underestimate the challenges faced by Educational Services as we aim for continuous improvement in the quality of services that we provide to the people of West Dunbartonshire.

We aim to create a safe and happy environment which allows all pupils to achieve their full potential and strive to maximise educational opportunities for learners of all ages and all abilities.
