Foreword by Dorothy Thornhill, Elected Mayor of Watford
Watford has a great range of local attractions, including the nationally significant Palace Theatre and the Harlequin Shopping Centre. There is a wide range of pubs, cafés and restaurants to suit all tastes, including some of the best curry houses in Hertfordshire! Watford Borough Council also controls around 40 acres of parkland and open space, providing a welcome respite from the hurly-burly of urban life.
I am delighted that Watford Borough Council has joined with Marks & Spencer to fund DisabledGo’s access guide to Watford.
Watford Borough Council wants all residents to be able to participate in the life of the town. So it’s great that the DisabledGo access guide will give residents and visitors detailed access information on pubs, shops, restaurants, theatres and leisure centres in the Watford area.

The DisabledGo website should enable disabled people to make informed choices about the facilities on offer, be they shops, restaurants, arts venues, libraries or leisure centres. I hope that you enjoy using it.
If you have any comments or queries, you can email me on themayor@watford.gov.uk and I look forward to hearing from you.
