Welcome

The borough of Tunbridge Wells has a lot to offer, it is an attractive and vibrant part of Kent. Over two thirds of the borough has been designated as an Area of Outstanding National Beauty and it has a rich historical legacy. There are also an array of attractive villages and thriving town centres. Our residents and visitors can enjoy a range of good services and facilities and award-winning parks and open spaces. The introduction of this guide will give people who live in, work in or visit the Borough the knowledge they need to access facilities in the borough independently.

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is committed to promoting inclusive and accessible environments and we are delighted to be working with DisabledGo to produce this guide. Local businesses have shown strong support for this guide which captures their commitment to improving access for people with disabilities. We are grateful too for the support of our local Access Group who have worked closely with the Borough Council and DisabledGo.

We hope that you find this guide useful in accessing the variety of facilities and attractions available in the Borough.
