Welcome

Stevenson College Edinburgh has a diverse student population, welcoming around 18,000 students every year including 1,500 EU and international students. We offer a wide range of courses across five faculties, including introduction to college and adult returner courses, and courses for students with additional needs.

We also offer courses in many vocational areas – including business, accounting, administration, and tourism; social sciences; music, photography, media, audio visual, and computing; early education, social care, health, hairdressing, beauty and complementary therapies; science, sport, electrical engineering and automotive engineering. In addition to management and professional development courses, we offer a range of courses through our commercial arm, SCE Enterprise, including health & safety and bespoke training to suit small or large organisations’ business needs.

We are very active in the community and, through our outreach facilities, work with a range of clients to help them into jobs, education or training.

Stevenson was proud to be one of the first colleges in Scotland to receive the LGBT Youth Scotland Charter Mark. Awarded by LGBT Youth Scotland, it recognises organisations' high standards of support for young lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and trans-gender individuals. Stevenson also signed the See Me pledge in 2007.

We have excellent facilities at Stevenson and cater well for students with special needs. We recently installed a state-of-the-art Arjo Maxi Sky hoist tracking system which allows most students to attend without an additional personal assistant. (While most mobile hoists require two people to support the individual, the tracking hoist installed at Stevenson can be operated by one Personal Assistant.)
The College has an equal opportunities policy that aims to prevent discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion or belief and to promote equality for all the College community.
