Named by the Sunday Times as the United Kingdom’s leading modern university for the last ten years
Oxford Brookes is a premier learning and teaching institution with growing research expertise.
We are one of the few higher education institutions to have more than 20 subjects rated as excellent for teaching and in the latest Research Assessment Exercise, more than three quarters of Brookes’ research was recognised to be of international quality.
We are committed to equality and inclusion for all students and staff. The University strives across all its activities to provide an environment in which individual employees and students are valued and respected, and are supported in achieving their potential.
Our
Student Disability and Dyslexia Service provides support, advice and information to current and prospective students, working with them to develop individual support plans to meet their needs.
The
Staff Disability Adviser gives advice to disabled members of staff and their line managers, and may also be contacted by job applicants.

We are building a new Library and Teaching Building at our main Gipsy Lane Campus, scheduled to open in 2013. Until then some parts of the site and buildings are affected by construction, but temporary wheelchair access will be maintained at all times. Please check our weekly
Space to Think updates for the latest information and map. Our architects and access consultants have designed the new building to be accessible for all users.
