NHS Nottinghamshire County

Welcome

NHS Nottinghamshire County leads the local NHS.

As a Primary Care Trust (PCT), we plan and pay for health services for 660,000 people in:

• Ashfield
• Broxtowe
• Gedling
• Mansfield
• Newark and Sherwood
• Rushcliffe

The PCT is responsible for all community NHS services, such as district and school nursing, health visiting, GPs, dentistry, opticians, and pharmacy.

It is also in charge of allocating money to local NHS trusts, such as Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust, to buy services for patients living in Nottinghamshire County.

We know that good access to services is essential in improving people’s health and we are committed to ensuring that everyone has access to high quality healthcare and to the information they need to choose how and where to receive their care.

On these pages you will find information about access to all our services so you can feel confident about what you will find and make an informed choice. We hope you find this information useful.

Every venue on the website is contacted each year to find out if their access has changed. A venue owner or customer can contact us at any time to inform us of changes to venues. Venues which have had structural changes are revisited by DisabledGo surveyors annually, a note of any changes will be made as soon as we are informed, but full details will not be taken until we can collect them in person. Details such as telephone numbers or opening times are changed centrally without the need to visit the venue.
