With a history dating back 150 years, we have a combination of the traditional and the contemporary that sets MMU apart and gives us our distinctive character.
We aim to provide a welcoming and accessible environment for students and staff with disabilities and a £250 million investment programme will provide state-of-the –art facilities and allow us to set new academic standards for the quality of student-centred services. It will also bring huge benefits in terms of academic and research collaboration and opportunities for interdisciplinary work and courses as we invest in our future as The University for World-Class Professionals.
MMU have held Positive about Disabled People status since 2004. We have a Disabled Staff Forum, a Disability Network for Student issues and ongoing consultation arrangements with both disabled staff and students to ensure proper involvement and engagement.
MMU has a strong reputation for providing work-ready graduates with the practical skills to make a difference – 92% of our graduates go straight into work or further study within six months of graduation.
MMU is one of the top performing new universities in the UK in terms of its research profile: in the top 5% of UK universities for exercise and sport science and the top 12% for materials science.
MMU is proud of its achievements and is ambitious for the success of all members of the university community.
