Leicester City Council values the contribution disabled individuals make to the diversity and life of our city. We strive to improve the life quality of all Leicester residents, and our commitment to disability equality is vital to our efforts. I know how important accessible information is in ensuring equal opportunity and choice for everyone. I am also aware that disabled people have identified a need for better information following the many changes to our city centre over the last few years. Changes such as improved Shopmobility facilities, level street access throughout the extended pedestrianised areas, and new major attractions such as Curve, Phoenix Square and Highcross Leicester need to be supported by good information.
