Foreword by Councillor Mark Harris

Leeds City Council's mission is to bring the benefits of a prosperous, vibrant and attractive city to all the people of Leeds. Clearly, our partnership with DisabledGo helps us to achieve this aim by giving disabled people the information they need to enjoy all that Leeds has to offer.
Leeds is an accessible city and the DisabledGo website is a showcase for this. My belief that disabled people should be able to participate in all areas of community life is shared by DisabledGo. The website gives information covering entertainment, restaurants, bars and shops as well as key public services such as transport, health and council services. While disabled people who live in Leeds have asked for this, those who visit or work in the city will also find the information useful.
The council, along with our partner organisations, take access and the needs of disabled citizens seriously. So while we are proud of our achievements so far, we are committed to make further improvements across our services.

In the meantime, this access guide will enable disabled people to make informed choices about Leeds' facilities and go out and about in the city with confidence.
