I would like to introduce myself. My name is Sue Pinder and I am very proud to be the Principal and Chief Executive of James Watt College. As the Principal I have responsibility to ensure that the college provides the best possible services to the local community we serve in Inverclyde and North Ayrshire. That’s why we have signed up to be part of Disabledgo to ensure that as many students who wish to join the college have all the information needed to allow the best possible choices and chances to study.
Although some of our estate and infrastructure is old we have dedicated a large sum of money to improve the layout and access to our facilities and to improve the estate overall. This programme of improvement is well underway and will continue in the coming months and years to the benefit of all students, staff and visitors.
I place great importance on equality, fairness and human rights and my team are committed to making a significant contribution through our staff, students and partners. We have embedded equality and diversity into our decision making, strategic direction and day to day operations.
