Hull College – an ‘Outstanding’ College

Hull College is one of the largest colleges in the UK, offering over 1000 courses from Foundation Level to BA Hons Degrees. It forms part of the Hull College Group that also includes Goole College and Harrogate College.

The College has an impressive record and is nationally recognised for its quality delivery. Inspected by Ofsted during May 2008 the College has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ in all grades, a result that puts the College in an elite group of only 17 further education colleges in the UK.

Hull College also holds Training Quality Standard certification, gaining the standard with excellence in three areas, Freight, Logistics and Warehousing; Engineering; and Children’s Workforce Development. It was also awarded Learning and Skills Beacon status in 2009 as well as holding National Beacon awards for Employment Engagement, Lifelong Learning and Functional Skills. Hull College is proud to be a member of the 157 Group, a new representative body made up of some of the biggest and most influential colleges in the country.

The College is committed to ensuring that all learners receive the very highest level of support, from initial enquiry and application, through to successful completion and progression to further study, training or employment we are here to support you.

Hull College’s friendly Learner Support Services Team is based at the College’s Queen’s Gardens site and offers a service at every college site.

The College can provide help if you have a learning difficultly or disability. Providing dedicated support, the College’s specialist team of support workers are available to answer your queries and give advice.

The Ofsted inspection report concluded that,

Harrogate College – Fulfil your potential

Harrogate College joined the Hull College Group in August 2008 bringing staff expertise and resource to expand the Group. Based at Hornbeam Park, Harrogate is both locally and nationally recognised for its quality delivery and high success rates across a wide range of programmes. The College is proud to collaborate and be part of the wider local community, allowing us to provide a choice of education and training services to underpin local and regional development.

Harrogate College’s friendly Learner Support Services Team is available to all learners whether they want to discuss their course, financial options or speak to a counsellor.

Goole College – Something for everyone

As part of the Hull College Group, Goole College offers a wide range of courses, designed to enable learners to reach their full potential, whatever their talents.
