I am delighted that Elmbridge Borough Council has been able to sponsor the DisabledGo service. We are continually looking for ways to improve access to our services and to ensure that our residents enjoy a fully accessible environment. DisabledGo is a key step in our quest and provides crucial information to disabled people, but it is so much more than that.
The online service and the planned printed guide can help everyone to find their way around our increasingly complex and often congested environment – finding things out before you start your journey so that you are better prepared. It also helps our local businesses by highlighting the goods and services that are already available in the local area.
The Elmbridge service will join 60 other similar DisabledGo sites, which are gradually making life easier for us all as we seek greater equality of access and up to date information that meets our needs and helps us in our choices.
Better knowledge helps to promote active participation and can underpin better quality and more inclusive lives. We hope you enjoy using the Elmbridge DisabledGo service and that it helps in some way to offer you new opportunities in the local area.
