Welcome

A welcome from Councillor Rhondda Geekie,
Leader of East Dunbartonshire Council

East Dunbartonshire Council is committed to ensuring there is equality and diversity throughout the area and as part of that commitment, the Council is striving to make its services and facilities accessible to all.

We are therefore delighted to be working with DisabledGo on this guide to facilities in the area and aspects of access at them.

East Dunbartonshire is a diverse geographical area with town centres and smaller rural communities and this guide provides important information on facilities throughout the area, so that those with disabilities can find out before they venture out exactly what is available to them. I have personal experience of mobility problems although not nearly as severe as many other people. This has made me more aware of the problems that are out there.

The information in this guide provides those with disabilities with real choice on where they can go and the access support they can expect.

I hope that those who use these web pages and visit services and locations in East Dunbartonshire find the guide useful and enjoy an accessible visit to our Council area.
