Coleg Morgannwg is one of the largest providers of Further Education and training in Wales. It is committed to providing high quality, wide ranging and relevant education and training opportunities for the local community. The college boasts four main campuses across Rhondda Cynon Taf in Aberdare, Pontypridd, Rhondda and Nantgarw. In addition it offers learning provision at a large number of Outreach Centres within local communities.
In the past five years Coleg Morgannwg have completed a number of major projects, investing over £15.8 Million in student facilities; these include the Science and Technology Centre, Nantgarw Campus, Community Centre – Community, Arts, Regeneration & Lifelong Learning, Rhondda Campus and the Centre for Art & Design Technology, Nantgarw Campus. These major investments by the college were supported by Capital Grant funding from the Welsh Assembly Government and shows the commitment the college has to providing quality education and training within Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Coleg Morgannwg holds many awards for good and outstanding practice and has recently gained the Investors in People Award (IIP) in recognition of its commitment to staff development and training. This will further benefit our customer-focused approach ensuring the best possible service for students and other stakeholders. Coleg Morgannwg is one of the first FE College’s in Wales to gain the Welsh Assembly Government Basic Skills Quality Standard. The college is delighted to receive this Award, which recognises the excellent support framework in place for learners who require additional support.

Higher Education opportunities exist within the College through links with the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Lampeter, offering the following qualification levels: BA Joint Hons, Foundation Degree, PCET, HND and HNC.
