Welcome

DisabledGo - Calderdale
Welcome

Calderdale Council is committed and working hard to ensure that the environment and delivery of its services are both inclusive and accessible to all. We are proud to be working in partnership with DisabledGo and thanks to the sponsorship of HBOS plc and Calderdale Shopmobility, it has been possible to provide this excellent source of access information.

When planning where to shop, visit and access leisure and entertainment facilities, disabled people, their families, friends, and carers and also older people and parents with pushchairs can make up their own minds about where they can go. What is inaccessible for one disabled person could well be accessible to another.

Calderdale has stunning landscapes that stretch for miles, ancient hill top villages and busy towns along the valley bottoms. Our history surrounds and inspires us. There are wonderful visitor attractions and lots of things to do, and with the information on this website, disabled people will be able to make informed choices about the available facilities and go out and about with confidence.
