Welcome

On behalf of the citizens of Belfast, I extend a warm welcome to all and ensure you of our support for the DisabledGo initiative, which aims to give visitors improved access to our city.

Belfast City Council is committed to making Belfast a better place for everyone choosing to live in, work in or visit our city. We have a vision of Belfast as a modern and welcoming city which promotes services to everyone regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and disability.

Belfast is the second largest city on the island of Ireland and our new found confidence has attracted major retailers, pubs, clubs, and boutiques. I am delighted that our new image draws an increasing amount of visitors, keen to spend time and money here.

We are proud to support the DisabledGo - Belfast online guide which should greatly assist people in making informed choices about where to visit. The website gives information covering entertainment, restaurants, bars and shops as well as transport, health and council services.

We trust you find Belfast a welcoming and accessible city for all your needs.
