Hillier Gardens are set in 180 acres of land.

There is a network of paths running through the gardens which give access to all areas.

There is a wide tarmac surfaced path which gives access to a large section of the gardens.

This path links Jermyns House to the Visitor and Education Centres and also covers the Winter Garden and National Collection Glade.

The path is mostly level with only a few easy and moderate slopes.

There are 4 viewpoints along the path and many bench seats.

Access to other parts of the gardens is via paths with cut grass or gravel surfaces which may have moderate or steep gradients in places.

Visitors can borrow manual wheelchairs and powered scooters from the Visitor Centre.

There is a charge for the scooters and staff request that equipment be booked in advance.
