There is an Adaptive Technology Resource Centre located at the rear of the LRC, on the ground floor.

The ATRC at Penrhyn Road has six workstations.

All workstations are networked and so students have access to the central applications as well as the faculty-specific ones.

The centre also has other equipment including a split screen CCTV and scanners.

Height adjustable desks, lamps and larger keyboards are also available.

There is a networked printer in the Centre.

Any work printed here is sent straight away to the printer and you are charged as soon as you print your work.

One of the workstations is situated in a separate software enclosed area, thus allowing you to be able to use the speech recognition software Dragon Naturally Speaking.

In addition there is a range of specialist software packages designed specifically for users with disabilities including dyslexia.

Two such packages, Texthelp Read and Write and Inspiration, are also available on all the ICT Services workstations.

Zoomtext and Supernova are also available.
