The bell is in a suitable position to allow wheelchair users to gain access.

The main doors open automatically.

The doors are double width.

The door opening is 170cm (5ft 6in) wide.

The automatic doors are for the use of students with disabilities only, who will have their library swipe card set to be able to operate them. The automatic doors open towards you.

There is also an automatic revolving door, available for everyone to use, to the right of these doors.

There are teaching and quiet study rooms located thoughtout the library. These are accessed by double heavy doors, 158cm wide (as shown in photograph 1), or a single heavy door, 80 cm wide (shown in photograph 2). These doors all open inwards.

Equipment available for people with a visual impairment includes a Braille embosser, screen magnifiers.

Height adjustable tables are not available for computer users in the AT room.

The accessible software available is Inspiration, Text Help, Jaws, Dragon, Kurzweil 3000 and ZoomText.

All auxiliary aids are available in the Assistive Technology Room, which is located on the ground floor behind the Information Desk.

It is open to all students, although priority is given to students with disabilities, whenever the library is open, and is accessed by double, heavy doors, 156 cm wide which open outwards.
