Introduction

  • Services / facilities within the building include The Business School, staff offices, meeting rooms, The Market Place, Cafe Liscio, a library, seminar rooms and classrooms.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • To reach Lansdowne Campus from the North or the East, leave the A338 at the junction marked Travel Interchange onto St Paul's Road, then take St Swithuns Road.
      At the roundabout at the end of St Swithuns Road take the right-hand exit which will bring you onto Christchurch Road (B3066) where the buildings that comprise the campus are located.

      From the West follow the directions to Talbot Campus but proceed past the University on the A3049 (this becomes Talbot Avenue).
      Next take the Wimborne Road (A347), then the Lansdowne Road (B3064) to continue onto Christchurch Road (B3066).

      There is no student parking at the Lansdowne Campus, although the area is well served by public (pay and display) car parks within easy walking distance of all university buildings.
    • Permit holder parking is provided around the Lansdowne Campus. There are pay and display car parks located nearby.
  • By Bus View
    • Wilts & Dorset Buses

      As part of the local transport network, Wilts & Dorset Buses operates a student-oriented service. This service provides transport between the two campuses and extends to areas populated by students in Poole, Bournemouth and Boscombe.

      Term-time:

      Services run every 10 minutes during term-time and timetables are available from all main reception desks.

      Vacation Times:

      The U1 Bus service is in operation during university vacation times, running between The Lansdowne Campus, Cranborne House and the Talbot Campus every 30 minutes.

    • The nearest rail station to Lansdowne Campus is Bournemouth.

      The journey there by fast train from London takes around one hour and 50 minutes.
      Buildings on the Lansdowne Campus are a five-minute walk from the railway station.
