Getting Help and Assistance

    • These stairs are 56 metres from the Gates 21-32 entrance, and lead down to the underpass leading to Gates 22, 24 and 26 and the standard toilets.
    • There is an identical set of stairs on the far side leading up to the gates.
    • Passengers for Gates 22, 24 and 26 who may find it difficult to use these steps should use the assistance points to request accompanied step free access.
    • There are similar stairs in the satellite area at the end of Pier C leading down to toilets only.

Passenger Assistance Point

  • This assistance point is 48 metres from the Gates 21-32 entrance, and contains 2 telephones, either side of the post.
  • These should be used to request accompanied step free access to Gates 22, 24 and 26.
  • Photographs 3 and 4 shows the doors, 160cm wide, which are used to access these gates from the main departures corridor.

Lift (Pier C Satellite)

  • The lift is located by Gates 28, 29, 31, 32.
  • The lift is a platform lift.
  • The floors which are accessible by this lift are 0-1.
  • The lift is approximately 179m (195yd 2ft) from the Gates 21-32 entrance.
  • Staff do need to be notified for use of the lift.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 87cm x 70cm (2ft 10in x 2ft 4in).
  • The controls for the lift are within 90cm - 120cm from the floor.
  • The lighting level in the lift is moderate to good.
  • The lift does not have Braille markings.
  • The lift does not have tactile markings.

    • This lift can be used to overcome the stairs leading down to the toilets from the satellite area at the end of Pier C.
